The Opportunity
Alta Environmental has made major investments in building our business development capabilities in the last year. Earlier in 2011, we hired a Vice President of Business Development to build the foundation of a unique lead generation system that will bring increased predictability to our business. We also recently hired an experienced Vice President of Sales to focus on cross selling opportunities among the company’s current clients.
Alta Environmental now seeks a Marketing Manager to round out our business development team. This position requires a strong, entrepreneurial individual to coordinate marketing and proposal writing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execution of all offline and online marketing materials, including review/development of monthly newsletters, case studies, published articles, etc.
- Lead proposal processes, pre-qualifying bids, and updating CVs of professional staff
- Develop/support monthly/quarterly out-reach campaigns (emails, letters, mailers) to targeted individuals and industries
- Coordinate refinement of templates and other internal resources to smooth the bidding process
In addition to core responsibilities, this individual will be included in weekly sales meetings, account planning sessions, and will attend client meetings and conferences.
Key Skills Required:
- High energy and entrepreneurial drive
- Some technical training with great ability to learn technical aspects of this industry; engineering background preferred
- “Sleeves up” mentality to help build a first-class, industry-leading sales & marketing platform
Location
The position will be located in Irvine, California.
Compensation

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business-related, engineering or science field
- Minimum of five years marketing experience in the environmental consulting and engineering, or engineering related field
