POSITION: REMEDIATION ENGINEER/CONSULTANT

Job Description
This is an integral position within the Subsurface Assessment and Remediation Team. The candidate will work on contaminated site investigation, risk assessment, and remediation projects as a member of project teams. These teams assess and remediate complex contaminated sites using advanced technologies.
The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with Project Manager and others to scope, cost, and plan projects
- Prepare for work activities, i.e. plan field work, and coordinate with subcontractors and clients
- Design and engineer soil and groundwater remediation systems
- Complete work in the field, including supervising drill crews or other crews
- Compile and interpret data
- Prepare reports
Minimum Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Geology, Engineering or related field
- California PE highly preferred
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Ability to interpret geological, hydro geological, and chemical data for contaminated sites
- Familiarity with the types of analyses performed by commercial laboratories for environmental samples of soil and water
- Skilled in Project Management including budget management and tracking
- Requires ability to plan and execute site investigation projects including collecting, analyzing and interpreting chemical and physical data for preparing site investigation reports
- Requires the ability to conduct field sampling programs and manage multiple subcontractors
- Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of project activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Position requires effective technical writing and time management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- GIS and/or CAD experience a plus
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
