Coffey Environments, Justice & Associates and Winefield & Associates
Join Forces to Form Alta Environmental
LONG BEACH, CA – (October 25, 2011) – Following the recent acquisition of Justice & Associates, Long Beach, Calif.-based Winefield & Associates, a leading provider of environmental and safety consulting services for industrial, commercial and government clients, has acquired the U.S. operations of Coffey Environments (formerly CTL Environmental Services) to form Alta Environmental. The combined entity will retain Winefield’s core leadership team.
“Combining the resources of Justice & Associates, Coffey Environments/CTL and Winefield & Associates, solidifies Alta Environmental as a premier provider of remediation, air and multimedia environmental compliance services to our valued California clients,” stated Ryan Kerrigan, chief executive officer of Alta Environmental. “Due to our growth and integration of multiple entities, we renamed the company Alta Environmental to represent both our heritage as a California-based firm and the exceptional service we provide.”
As Alta Environmental, the company will continue to focus on providing practical, cost-effective, and value-added solutions for its clients. The valuable resources gained by the acquisitions will enable Alta Environmental to further establish itself as a best-in-class provider of a full suite of environmental consulting services to a diverse client roster that includes municipalities, industrial firms, building owners, attorneys, brokers and investors.
The entire team from Coffey Environments, known for its remediation and workplace health and safety capabilities, will join Alta Environmental, providing the firm’s clients with deeper and broader expertise in the California regulatory structure. Dave Schack, who was U.S. manager of Coffey Environments, joins Alta Environmental in the newly created position of vice president, EH&S compliance.
The Justice & Associates team joined the company in December 2010. Scott Taylor, former president of Justice & Associates, is now vice president, air compliance services at Alta Environmental. “After having collaborated on projects with Justice for twelve years, it was a smooth and easy transition. Scott and his group have already added significant value since the acquisition less than a year ago,” commented Kerrigan. “We expect an equally smooth transition with the team from Coffey.”
The combined acquisitions strengthen Alta Environmental’s capabilities in the following service areas:
- Asbestos, lead-based paint assessments
- Phase I, II and III site assessments
- Industrial hygiene
- Air quality compliance
In addition to changing its name to Alta Environmental, the company announced the activation of its new web site at www.altaenviron.com.
