Alta Aerial Drones Protect Your Construction Projects

Avoid Construction General Permit Fines and Lawsuits Using Alta Aerial Site Documentation

Alta’s aerial imaging fleet of drones has been helping our clients create defensible documentation of storm water permit compliance conditions at construction sites. This level of documentation during different phases of construction can prove particularly critical during regulatory audits and in defense of any third party Clean Water Act lawsuits. Alta Aerial provides a cohesive record of conditions which are particularly useful for defending your projects from costly delays, fines, and/or litigation. The Alta Aerial service offerings include the ability to remotely calculate elevations, slopes, and stockpile volumes across the site and document construction phase changes. Imagine having a SWPPP’s Erosion Control Plan with an actual up to date color image of your site with the appropriate BMPs called out for your field crews to see, instead of a black and white CAD drawing showing BMPs applicable to grading, vertical and stabilized phases all on one Plan. This is what drone imaging can bring to your project.

A new Construction General Permit is currently being promulgated and reauthorization is anticipated by the end of 2018, pending further delays. Alta is monitoring the status of the Draft Permit ideas as the State Water Board offers insight into their current thinking processes. One anticipated change includes the requirement for risk evaluations during each phase of construction (grading, vertical, utilities, stabilization) and Alta Aerial will prove very useful for complying with this anticipated requirement.

The Alta Aerial fleet and FAA certified pilots are ready to take flight to document your construction sites. Learn more about how Alta Aerial can keep your project sites on track and in compliance from the planning phase all the way through project completion by email or phoning us at info@altaenviron.com or 888-608-3010.
