Alta welcomes two new experts to our growing staff. Mallory Graves joins us as GIS Associate II in the Water Resources team. Mallory earned her MS in Geographic Information Sciences and Technology from the University of Southern California.
She has over two years of consulting experience as a GIS Analyst for local governments and municipalities, providing GIS solutions to clients across California. She served as project lead for the City of Wildomar’s Master Drainage Plan, stormwater GIS support, and spatial applications for the City’s ongoing hydrology studies.
Mallory has taught courses and trained students, faculty, and staff in GIS at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, where she led the implementation of GIS to support the STEM sciences.
She is also involved with a local non-profit environmental group, where she provides GIS tools, maps, and support for projects related to Superfund site remediation, land use planning, groundwater resource management, and air quality/emissions studies.
Andrew Gwin joins Alta as an Industrial Hygiene Associate in the Building Science team. Andrew is an environmental health scientist with experience in public health, property management, and the environmental consulting field. He has experience conducting Phase I due diligence for clients including banks, institutional investors, portfolio managers, and solar power developers. His experience includes site characterization, remediation, lead sampling, and indoor air quality. Andrew has an in-depth interdisciplinary knowledge including epidemiology, environmental science, and renewable energy.
Andrew is a Registered Environmental Professional with a master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management with a concentration in Pollution Prevention and Remediation from UC Santa Barbara, as well as, a master’s degree in Environmental and Occupational Health/Epidemiology from Emory University. He attended UC Berkeley for his undergraduate degree. Andrew is working toward becoming a Certified Industrial Hygienist.
