The ISO 45001 standard is finally here!
ISO 45001:2018, Occupational health and safety management systems – Requirements with guidance for use has been released and will replace OHSAS 18001, the former workplace health and safety standard. Organizations will have 3 years to comply with this new ISO 45001 standard.
ISO 45001 is a health and safety management system designed to help industries manage their health and safety risks to reduce workplace illnesses and injuries. It gives companies a tool to identify their risks, eliminate their hazards and create objectives to reduce potential risks. It uses the Plan-DO-Check-Act method for continuous improvement.
